General Event Questions
Do I need a ticket to attend?
Indoor winter events at Good Dog PDX require a prepaid ticket. Space is limited and walk-ins aren’t allowed for indoor meetups.
Outdoor summer events at Normandale Park are free and open to the public—no ticket required. Because it’s a public park, we can’t fully control who shows up or which dogs are present.
Is the group just for chihuahuas?
Our events are designed primarily for chihuahuas and other small dogs. Indoor events at Good Dog PDX are limited to dogs weighing 20 lbs or less. Outdoor park meetups are in a small dog area and are intended for similar-sized pups for safety.
Are events profit-making?
No. The Group is organized by Kasara Lintner Enterprises, LLC, but meetups are community-based and not-for-profit. Any ticket or fee collected is used to cover venue and administrative costs. This is described in more detail in the Organizer section of our Terms.
Where can I see upcoming events?
Visit the Next Event page for date, time, location, and ticket links.
Safety, Health & Conduct
What are the size and behavior requirements for dogs?
For indoor events at Good Dog PDX:
- Dogs must weigh 20 lbs or less.
- Dogs should be reasonably social and non-aggressive with people and other dogs.
For all events, we reserve the right to ask any dog or handler to leave if behavior is unsafe, aggressive, or highly disruptive. That’s part of our Health & Conduct policy.
Do my dog’s vaccinations need to be up to date?
Yes. All dogs should be current on core vaccinations and free from contagious illness or parasites when attending events. If your dog is recovering from illness, please sit the event out for everyone’s safety.
Who is responsible if there’s an injury or damage?
By attending, you agree that participation is at your own risk and that you are solely responsible for your dog’s behavior and any injury or damage they may cause. The Group, its organizers, and venue partners are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages. This is spelled out in our Participation & Assumption of Risk section.
Are you veterinarians or professional trainers?
No. The organizers are not veterinarians, trainers, or certified behaviorists. Any care tips shared in person or on the site are based on personal experience and community knowledge only. For medical or behavioral concerns, always consult your own veterinarian or qualified professional. This is also noted in the Participation & Assumption of Risk section.
Indoor vs. Outdoor Events
What’s different about indoor events at Good Dog PDX?
Indoor events are hosted at Good Dog PDX, a privately owned indoor dog facility. Attendance is capped (typically around 30 dogs), and a prepaid ticket is required to enter.
Good Dog PDX is independent and not owned or operated by Kasara Lintner Enterprises, LLC. By attending, you also agree to follow Good Dog PDX’s rules and waivers, as described in our Indoor Winter Events section.
What should I know about outdoor events at Normandale Park?
Outdoor meetups are held at the small dog off-leash area at Normandale Park. They are free and open to the public.
Because this is a public space, the Group can’t control who attends or which dogs are present. All participants must follow City of Portland Parks & Recreation rules and are responsible for supervising their own dogs. Details are in the Outdoor Summer Events section of our Terms.
Care Blog & Amazon Links
Where can I find chihuahua care tips?
We have a dedicated Care Blog that covers topics like dental care, safety from coyotes and birds, food, treats, and walking tips for chihuahuas. It’s written in a friendly, real-world way for small-dog owners.
Are the care tips on the blog medical advice?
No. The Care Blog is for general information and community education only. It’s not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always talk with your veterinarian about your individual dog’s needs. This aligns with our disclaimer in the Participation & Assumption of Risk section.
Do you earn money from Amazon or other product links?
Some links on the site (especially in the Care Blog) may be affiliate links. As noted in our Affiliate Disclosure, Kasara Lintner Enterprises, LLC may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
Any commissions help offset event and website costs. We only share products we believe are appropriate and helpful for small-dog owners, but you should always double-check sizing, ingredients, and reviews yourself.
Memorials – Tiny Paws Forever
What is the “Tiny Paws Forever” page?
Our Tiny Paws Forever page is a memorial space dedicated to chihuahuas and small dogs who have passed away. Each card includes a photo, name, and short tribute from their family—because they’ll always be part of our pack.
How can I add my dog to the memorial?
We’re happy to add memorials for community members. Please send a photo, your dog’s name, optional years (for example, “2012–2024”), and a one–two sentence tribute to: hello@chihuahuameetup.com.
This FAQ is a simplified guide. By attending any event or using this site, you agree to the full Terms of Use & Disclaimer. If you still have questions, feel free to email us at hello@chihuahuameetup.com.
